Name: Bernadette Butler

Nickname: Ber

Job: Owner

Meet Ber, the owner of the Surf School and Shop. She has learned a lot about surfing over the years from introducing her 3 kids to the sport and watching them develop over the years. Before opening her first shop 7 years ago, Ber ran a surf shop for her brother-in-law Billy.

 

Name: Craig Butler

Nickname: Butzy

Job: Works in the Surf Shop and helps out in the Surf School

Ber's youngest son is Craig, who is currently Ireland's Junior Longboard Surf Champion. Craig loves surfing and has travelled all over the world to places such as Morocco, France, Spain, Gran Canaries and England. Craig is sponsored by O Neill Wetsuits and Escape Surfboards.

 

Name: Anderson Philigret

Nickname: Andy

Job: Surf Instructor

Anderson is our Brazilian Surf Instructor who is originally from Rio de Janeiro. He has been surfing for 22 years now and has settled in Tramore with his wife Melissa. Anderson can teach in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Anderson organises an annual surf trip to his home country for Irish surfers to improve their surfing. Anderson has surfed in Brazil, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal and the Grand Canaries.

 

 

Name: David Moore

Nickname: Dave

Job: Surf Instructor

Dave is a local Tramore surfer with over 12 years of surfing experience and he comes from a family of surfers! His brother Simon is also a very competent surfer. Dave has surfed competively and has surfed abroad in many countries.

 

Name: Brent Ennis

Nickname: Brent

Job: Head Surf Instructor

Brent is our Australian surf instructor from Marouba in Sydney, Brent is our most experienced surfer! When he is not teaching people to surf, Brent can be found surfing the waves all around the country. He also repairs surfboards for us and also enjoys sailing, swimming and kayaking.

 

Name: Colin

Nickname: Col

Job: Surfing Coach Helper

After many years of taking part in our Summer Surf Camps, Colin has come back and is now a Surf Coach Helper. Colin helps to look after the smaller kids nearest to the beach. Colin likes Tramore but is originally from Cork. He is planning to eventually move and live here with his dad.
